Mainstream Vouchers

The Mainstream Voucher Program provides Housing Choice Vouchers to non-elderly households (under age 62) where at least one member has a disability. Mainstream Vouchers are administered by the same PHAs that run regular HCV, but on a separate waitlist with separate funding.

Who qualifies

Households where a non-elderly member has a documented disability and the household meets standard income limits.

How to apply

Apply directly to your local PHA. Ask specifically about the Mainstream Voucher Program by name — intake staff sometimes default to the regular HCV waitlist if you don’t.
